Artist's Statement

Well, the artist in question
I have long been passionate about dreams. Dreams are my main source of inspiration, my philosophy of creation.
I’m interested into Freud’s psychoanalytic and the surrealists’ liberation of the unconscious (id) through their artwork. As an artist, I enjoy collecting pieces of my dreams to further develop them, making them presentable to a greater public. Sometimes, I would write them into short stories to show my friends. Other times, I would try to sketch them down, turning them into visual artworks like drawings and paintings. Because I have been taking art classes since a very young age, my art style tends to be more realistic.
In addition, I am someone who pays attention to details—and maybe a little perfectionist—which forces me to work for a long time on my projects, no matter big or small. I don’t like loud environment, so I make quiet art; art making me calm that I wish could bring peace to others (although it may be harder when I work with a lot of symbolism because it would require more energy dedicated to reflection). I also value freedom, therefore, when I create an original piece, I try to leave a considerable space to interpretation to viewers. Sometimes, it is fascinating to hear what people from different perspectives receive from a same image.
